Dental Implants

Missing teeth can affect more than just one's smile—they can impact how one eats, speaks and more. At Logan Reserve Dental, we offer dental implants and all-on-4® in Logan Reserve, QLD, as long-term, natural-looking solutions to replace missing teeth and restore function.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts placed in the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. Once the implant fuses with the bone, it can provide a stable foundation for a crown, bridge or denture. Dental implants are designed to look, feel and function like natural teeth.

What Is All-on-4®?

For patients missing most or all of their teeth, All-on-4 dental implants can work well. Using just four strategically placed implants, an entire arch of teeth can be supported with a fixed, non-removable bridge. Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 restorations are stable, comfortable and don’t require adhesives.

Comfort Comes First

At Logan Reserve Dental, we know dental surgery can feel daunting for many patients. That’s why we focus on your comfort every step of the way. We offer:

  • Local anaesthetic to numb the area
  • Nitrous oxide (happy gas) for relaxation
  • Oral sedation for added comfort
  • Twilight sedation via IV, administered by a third-party anaesthetist for patients who prefer a deeper level of relaxation

What to Expect from the Process

  • Consultation and Planning — We’ll assess your oral health, take digital scans and design a personalised treatment plan.
  • Placement — The implants are placed into the jawbone, where they begin fusing with the bone.
  • Healing Period — This fusion process creates the stability that implants are known for. In some All-on-4 cases, temporary teeth may be fitted the same day.
  • Restoration — Once healing is complete, we’ll attach your custom crown, bridge or full-arch restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental implants replace missing teeth because they mimic the natural structure of a tooth. An implant consists of a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone to act as an artificial root. Once healed, a custom-made crown, bridge or denture is attached to the implant, creating a replacement designed to look, feel and function just like a natural tooth.

Unlike dentures or traditional bridges, dental implants don’t rely on surrounding teeth for support. This means the healthy teeth are preserved, and because implants integrate with your jawbone, they also help prevent bone loss, which is a common issue after losing teeth. With proper care, dental implants can last decades or even a lifetime. However, as with any dental care treatment, it's important to remember that all results and treatment times vary per case.
